What it does
Photograph the list at a restaurant, or a menu or chalkboard. BottleWise reads every wine on it and gives you five picks: your two best matches, plus three “stretch picks” that are a little outside your usual taste but worth a try. Each one comes with a short reason.
Standing in front of a wall of wine? Photograph the shelf in the same way. BottleWise picks the bottles that suit you and circles where each one sits in your photo, so you can find it on the shelf.
Holding a bottle you don't know? Scan the label to see what it tastes like and how well it fits your palate, then save it to your wines.
Only want a red tonight, a sparkling wine, or something under $30? Choose a wine type, a style or grape, and a budget before you scan, and the picks stay within them.
Rate the wines you try as Love, Like or Dislike, and your taste profile adjusts. A taste chart shows where you sit on sweetness, body, tannin, acidity and alcohol.
